Product Regulatory Engineer | County Clare | Hybrid | Permanent
Hiring on behalf of a client seeking an experienced Product Regulatory Engineer to lead global regulatory compliance strategy across all product lines
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive global regulatory compliance strategy aligned to business and market expansion objectives
- Monitor and interpret evolving national, regional, and international regulations and standards relevant to product lines
- Provide expert guidance to R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing on regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle
- Manage end-to-end product approvals and certifications across global markets
- Prepare and submit technical documentation, test reports, and declarations of conformity to regulatory authorities
- Act as primary point of contact for all interactions with Notified Bodies, national regulatory authorities, and certification agencies
- Manage and facilitate audits, inspections, and assessments by regulatory bodies
- Maintain robust regulatory documentation systems ensuring accuracy and accessibility of all approvals and certifications
- Collaborate with the Quality team to integrate regulatory requirements into the Quality Management System
- Support post-market surveillance activities including product complaints and incident reviews
- Manage product change tracking to ensure continued compliance with evolving regulations
Requirements
- 3+ years' experience in a dedicated Product Regulatory role within a manufacturing environment
- Proven knowledge of international regulatory frameworks — CPR, RED, LVD, EMC, RoHS, WEEE, REACH, UKCA, UL, BSI, or similar
- Demonstrated experience managing complex product approval processes including Notified Body interactions
- Strong understanding of quality management systems including ISO 9001
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Highly organised with strong project management skills
- Degree in Engineering, Science, Law, or related technical discipline
Nice to have
- Master's degree or higher in a relevant field
- Experience in fire safety, security, or similarly regulated industries
- Background in global market access strategies
- Legal qualification or background in regulatory affairs
